Award winning photographer, FRANC PALAIA will present a solo show of color photographs of Joseph Bertolozzi's Tower Music project.

If your not familiar with the project, Joe played the Eiffel Tower for two weeks in 2013 and recorded thousands of different sounds by tapping, banging, bopping, scraping and hitting every section of the Eiffel Tower from top to bottom. They had special access to restricted areas of the tower where the average person can not go. Franc was the official photographer for the project as part of a team of eight people total. June 10 - 12 is Alumni Weekend at Vassar College and they will open the exhibit at 4:30 -6:30pm at the Palmer Gallery.

The show will premier a selection of 30 of FRANC PALAIA's color photographs of Tower Music/ Musique de la Tour. The show will also include a selection of videos of Joseph in action on the Tower made by team videographer Joseph Redwood-Martinez. Toward the end of the artist reception on June 10 Joseph and Franc will have a CD and book signing. Franc made a book with 70 color plates and text that explains Tower Music and shows how the CD was made. This is the debut of both the CD and photos from the photo book. There will also be a CD & book signing at the Poughkeepsie Barnes & Noble on April 29.

The exhibit runs through July 28. Sometime in late June, Joseph will give a demo/ lecture on Tower Music and I will present a power point with my photographs. Joe will show his instruments and how he came up with the idea for Tower Music.
