The World Team Pursuit Championships returns to blue after 24 years. The Olympic champion quartet with golden bike and helmet to celebrate the gold in Tokyo, formed by Filippo Ganna, Jonathan Milan, Simone Consonni and Liam Bertazzo (who replaced Francesco Lamon in the final), overcomes France at home in the final on the track of Roubaix.

And also Letizia Paternoster wins her race: the 22 years old woman from Trento manages to give a kick to bad luck after two very complicated seasons in which she was run over in training, had problems with a knee and also caught the coronavirus. This explains her tears right after the finish line in the elimination race. At the World Championships Letizia had already won five medals: in Apeldoorn 2018, two bronzes; in Pruszkow 2019, one silver; in Berlin 2020, one silver and one bronze.
