A strategic partnership. SkyTeam, the global airline alliance, and Trenitalia, Italy’s leading rail operator and a member of the FS Group, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to expand travel options for customers throughout Italy. The announcement was made at the World Aviation Festival in Amsterdam.
This collaboration will facilitate seamless intermodal travel by allowing customers to combine air and rail itineraries under a single reservation, using Trenitalia’s high-speed Frecciarossa train services. With Trenitalia integrated into SkyTeam’s global network, passengers can now book journeys that include both air and rail segments.
