TV reporter to lead Morris County Columbus Day Parade

The Morris County Columbus Day parade is set to kick off Sunday with Teresa Priolo as grand marshall, a Mummers band, Italian police officers plus antique cars and other attractions. "It's a great day for Italian Americans," said Bill Agnellino, president of the East Hanover Italian American Club. "A chance to celebrate our heritage."

The parade is scheduled to begin on at 2 p.m. on Ridgedale Avenue but the festivities also include a carnival in Lurker Park on Sunday and an awards dinner on Friday night. The parade will feature 14 marching bands including the Hanover Park High School and Whippany Park High School bands. Also marching will be the Aqua String Band of Philadelphia, which is a major attraction in that city's annual Mummers Day Parade, according to a press release about the Morris parade.
