Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace, a Long Island-based specialty grocer, will open its long-awaited first store at the Jersey Shore on April 21. It's located at 990 Shrewsbury Ave., a large 56,000-square-foot store in Tinton Falls Plaza that was formerly an Acme market. Doors open at 7 a.m. with a ribbon cutting at 10:30 a.m.
With other New Jersey locations in Ramsey and Morris Plains, it is Uncle Giuseppe's first store in Monmouth County. Based in Farmingdale, New York and founded in 1998, the grocer also has eight locations on Long Island.
