Valerio Magrelli is a professor of French literature at the University of Cassino and a frequent contributor to the cultural pages of several Italian dailies. He is the author of several scholarly works on French literature as well as four prize-winning poetry collections. His poems have been translated into English, French, Spanish, and a number of other languages.
On Wednesday May 15, Valerio Magrelli will give a talk about 20th-century Italian poetry (please note: the talk will be in Italian) at Stanford University, and on the 16th he will give a poetry reading at the Italian Cultural Institute of San Francisco.
