For our new video series with wine connoisseur Danilo Poggio, the first stop is in Barolo, Italy’s City of Wine for 2021. The Italian association of Città del Vino, with the support of the Italian Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, has officially chosen the charming village in the Langhe hills as an Italian wine ambassador. To celebrate this incredible award, Barolo and its 11 municipalities will present a packed calendar of events and initiatives for wine lovers.
Danilo Poggio takes us on a virtual tour of Barolo, from the Conti di Barolo Castle to their vineyards. Davide and Valentina Abbona of Antiche Cantine Marchesi di Barolo winery also provide valuable information about the birth of Barolo.
