The "Italian Tribune," which each year recognizes the contributions of valuable members of the community, recently honored West Caldwell Police Chief Gerard Paris with the Christopher Columbus Award for Law Enforcement.
Over the years, Paris, a graduate of the prestigious FBI National Academy, moved up through the ranks from patrolman to sergeant, to being part of the detective bureau, then moving up to lieutenant, captain and now chief. After nearly 29 years of service, Paris has been recognized by the Italian Tribune for his exemplary service in law enforcement.
