Chinotto oranges, scientifically known as Citrus × myrtifolia, belong to the Rutaceae family and are often referred to as “Myrtle-leaved orange” or “Calabrian mandarin.” They are typically smaller in size compared to regular oranges, measuring about 3 to 4 centimeters in diameter. The outer skin of chinotto oranges is rough and bumpy, with a deep brown color when ripe.
