Ciao from Rome! Welcome to the 67th issue of our online magazine. Are you recovering from the Labour Day weekend? As previously told, we're working on a renovation of a few things about our website, and not only that. On Tuesday September 8th, we'll move the website on a bigger, faster server, ready to fit the traffic on www.wetheitalians.com that, thanks to all of you, has dramatically increased. We'll be down for a day or maybe two, so please be patient: we'll get back, and this is just the beginning. We've been working the whole summer on a lot of new things, which you will see soon, and we hope you will like them!
We always encourage you to take a look at our campaign with UVET, the number one Italian Tour Operator: we're offering you 8 different Italian beautiful experiences. Each one of them will bring you to Milan for a one day visit of Expo 2015, and then you will have eight different way of enjoying Italy. Take a look at http://www.madeinuvet.com/wetheitalians.cfm: you can choose between "The Great Beauty", "Healthy Time", "History Walk in Tuscany", "Chocolate Emotions", "Mediterranean Glamour", "Shooting in Val d'Orcia", "The Motor Valley" and "The pearls of Como Lake". Keep on browsing, the first Italians to take this very affordable offers are already coming to Italy!
Waiting for your next real travel with us, in our 67th issue of this magazine we will drive you around Italy with our articles, wandering through different Italian regions. This time we'll start from the culture and history of Genoa, Liguria; we then will learn about the art of Arcimboldo, a true pride of Milan, Lombardy and then we'll go to Sardinia to taste an excellent Cannonau wine. We go to Emilia Romagna for the wonderful flavor of Grana Padano and then we head south to Puglia to see the land and nature of Ostuni and the Itria Valley. In Tuscany we read about how to save San Filippino, and after that we head back south to Sicily at the garden of the Nature Reserve of Ciane river and Saline of Syracuse. Back to Tuscany in Livorno, where our great Italian Amedeo Modigliani was born, we go further north and we're back in Lombardy for the Italian lifestyle of Dimoredesign 2015 in Bergamo. Venice, Veneto is our next stop for our Italian cinema column and the Film Festival that is happening right now, but then we move back south for the Italian cuisine of Panzerotti from Bari, Puglia, and then to Tuscany again to know about the handcrafts of the Florentine crystal. Veneto again for the Italian tradition of the celebration of Christ in Pove del Grappa, Tuscany again for the small town of Barga in our Little Italies column, and after a stop in the Eternal city to know about the must-See International Events Taking Place in Rome, Lazio this Autumn we end our travel in Milan, Lombardy for Expo 2015.
That's just a tiny preview of all you will find in this issue of We the Italians magazine!
Before to say goodbye, let me remind you the awesome opportunity given by the partnership between John Cabot University and We The Italians: two brand new Italian-American Heritage Scholarship. You can find the specifics in this previous editorial, or you can contact admissions@johncabot.edu for more information.
That's all for now. So stay tuned, fasten your seat belt and enjoy the ride. The future's so bright, we gotta wear shades!
