Ciao from Rome! Welcome to the 69th issue of our online magazine. We're planning our trip to the US right now. It is October, the Italian heritage month, and We the Italians will be in New York and Washington DC to celebrate Italy! First we will march at the Columbus Day Parade in Manhattan, on Monday, October 12. Celebrating Christopher Columbus is today more important than ever: the national holiday of the Columbus Day is under attack, wrong and ignorant arguments are used to go after the Italian American community, and we are proud to stand loud and clear to defend Columbus, the Columbus Day and the Italian American community. About this, we're also planning a huge surprise for all of you, starting next year ... stay tuned.

Then we will attend the NIAF Gala, celebrating the 40th anniversary of this wonderful organization, made of passion, dedication and commitment in defending, preserving and enhancing the Italian American Heritage. We the Italians is proud of being friends with NIAF, as well as with the other important organizations that with the same passion and success play their role in representing Italy in the USA.

From this month, for now only until the end of the year, the interviews we distribute on our website, our Facebook page, on twitter, on our newsletter and on this magazine, will be published every 7 days. There are so many topics, people, activities to explore, that we decided to go back to the original frequency. So, at least until the end of 2015, you will find two interviews in every issue of the magazine. We know that you appreciate the interviews, so we know that you will like this effort. Like always, if you'll like the interview, the merit goes to the person who is interviewed; if not, the blame goes on me.
