An anticipated feast with al fresco dining, food trucks, and zeppoles is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 10, during the St. Liberata Fest after a parade. The celebration will continue on Main Street in Patchogue Village from noon onwards, with a bocce ball tournament and music. There is still time for teams interested in participating in the bocce ball tournament. Those interested should call the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce office or visit here.
About a dozen teams will participate, with the potential for up to 16. The procession of the saint will start at noon on the dot, and the third annual zeppole-eating contest will start later in the day at 4 p.m. The winner will receive a $100 prize and all participants will get a T-shirt. There will also be a wine tour with about 10 participating restaurants. To participate, visit the chamber booth during the event. Tickets are $15.
