The Mahopac Italian American Club held its fifth annual Wine Tasting Festival and Competition at its clubhouse on Buckshollow Road on Sunday, March 17. Sixteen club members entered their homemade wines in the tasting competition, with a panel of judges giving awards to the third, second and first place (Mastro del Vino) finishers. Attendees voted a People’s Choice Award as well.

Maria Crecco took third place, Giorgio D’Agostino came in second and Joseph Zeolla was voted Mastro del Vino by the guest judges, Bob Volpe, Greg Breen and Rich Joyce. Alfonso Santaniello received the People’s Choice Award.
