The San Jose-based Italian American Heritage Foundation is giving out a record $22,000 spread among 18 scholarships for its Italian American Young Scholars program and is celebrating the awards with a barbecue Sunday at its headquarters at 425 N. Fourth St.
Tickets for the barbecue are $22 for adults and $7 for kids under 12. Call 408-293-7122 for tickets and get more details at www.iahfsj.org. The dinner is open to anyone interested in learning more about the program.
