From artificial intelligence that protects physical devices and business digital infrastructures to quantum number generators that make cryptographic keys unbreakable, 16 Italian companies will present their technological solutions at the RSA Conference 2025 (RSAC), the largest cybersecurity event in the United States in San Francisco up to May 1.

The national collective is organized by ICE Agenzia in partnership with the National Cybersecurity Agency (ACN) and in close collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This marks the first time that Italy is presenting its most competitive national market proposals in a unified way at the conference, which is crucial for the technological development of both businesses and public administrations.

The RSA Conference (RSAC) is a global gathering for the cybersecurity community. With over 40,000 participants and more than 600 exhibitors from almost 150 countries, the conference explores key technological trends, emerging challenges, and strategies to address cyber threats. It is also an important showcase for cutting-edge technological solutions and provides opportunities for developing strategic collaborations and business prospects.

Matteo Zoppas, president of ICE Agenzia, stated, “Cybersecurity is no longer just a vertical segment of ICT; it is the connective tissue of the digital economy and has a strategic impact on the competitiveness of every industry, from aerospace to manufacturing.” He added that Italian companies’ ability to compete in the most sophisticated markets is remarkable. At the RSA Conference, Zoppas aims to showcase technologies like AI for security, privacy-respecting biometrics, and post-quantum cryptography, designed for those protecting critical infrastructures and supply chains worldwide.

The main goal, according to Zoppas, is to “create industrial and technological partnerships that combine Italian ingenuity with the market reach and investment power of international leaders.” To facilitate this, ICE Agenzia is working with its network of 87 offices worldwide and closely coordinating with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Cybersecurity Agency. The goal is to support the internationalization of Italian companies in the cybersecurity sector, a market currently worth over 202 billion dollars and expanding rapidly each year.

Also present at the event is the Consul General of Italy in San Francisco, Sergio Strozzi, who expressed his pleasure in contributing to the opening of Italy's first national pavilion at the RSA Conference. He emphasized that this achievement boosts the international visibility of Italy's ecosystem and strengthens ties between the U.S. innovation sector and Italy's entrepreneurial fabric in such a strategic area.

Massimo Carnelos, Head of the Office for Technological Innovation and Startups at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), represents the Farnesina at the business mission.

The participation in the RSA Conference is part of the “growth diplomacy” initiative, launched by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani, aimed at supporting the internationalization of Italian companies, particularly those in enabling technologies, and enhancing key sectors like cybersecurity.

At RSAC 2025, Italian companies will be active across all cutting-edge areas of the field: from AI and automation, offering solutions to protect AI models on devices, customized and automated cybersecurity models, to test systems for cyber-physical systems, and web browsers designed to prevent cyber threats in business environments. They will also present network security solutions, identity protection systems, and encryption technologies utilizing quantum technologies. The companies involved include Accelerat (San Giuliano Terme, Pisa), bitCorp (Milan), Cyber Evolution (Ascoli Piceno), Cyberneid (Naples), Drivesec (Turin), and more.
