The Week of the Italian Language in the World is an event promoted every year through the consular and diplomatic network of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This year’s edition (16-22 October) focuses on the theme “L’italiano al cinema, l’italiano nel cinema”.
The Consulate of Italy in Detroit, in collaboration with the Detroit Film Theatre of the Detroit Institute of Artsand Istituto Luce Cinecittà, will present a series of five Italian classic films, in original with English subtitles. These films exemplify different period of Italian cinema and document the evolution of Italian language throughout time.
