The Italian Club of Staten Island, the time-honored organization founded to promote "a better understanding among leading Italian-Americans in the business and professional field and to raise awareness about Italian culture," has awarded two $5,000 college scholarships for outstanding academic achievement and community activities participation.
Congratulations are in order for Mark Mandala of Monsignor Farrell High School and Anthony Raio of Staten Island Technical High School. To date, the Italian Club has awarded more than $110,000 in academic scholarships and hopes to continue the tradition for many years to come.
