Staten Islander Michael Coppotelli was one of the three honorees recognized by The Forum of Italian American Educators (FIAME) at its 33rd annual awards dinners. The Associate Superintendent of Schools, Student Services and Public Policy was lauded by FIAME with The Thomas C. Giordano Leadership award at its awards dinner at the Villa Barone Manor in the Bronx.
"Each of the FIAME awards are named in honor of our organization's founding fathers, and with their legacies in mind, we select exemplary educators who truly embody their Italian-American heritage and go above-and-beyond in their dedication to their families and careers," said FIAME President, Josephine Fanelli.
