This semester of the Italian weekend school has officially ended, with a graduation party hosted on Sunday, June 1st. This year concluded a 4-year cycle initiated in 2021 at Salice America. Our volunteers and teachers were able to transform the Salice showroom spaces into a welcoming classroom for kids.

Casa della Cultura Italiana - North Carolina is extremely grateful to Salice America and Matteo Fregosi for the opportunity to run our school for the last 4 years. In May, our Volunteers got the approval from Mr. Calametti, the principal of St. Patrick Catholic School, to use their facility in Dilworth for the 2025-2026 academic year, starting in September.

To celebrate a successful new cycle, the last class of the 2024-2025 school year was held at St. Patrick Catholic School. Our 32 kids had the opportunity to perform for their parents and then celebrate with pizza and gelato. They presented “Tonino l’Invisibile” by Gianni Rodari, conducted by the teachers in the gym of the school. We are so proud of these hardworking students, and it was a joy to celebrate another great semester.
