It’s hard to believe that a member of Italy’s royal family has become an icon of the LA street food scene. In January, Vice released a mini documentary on Emanuele Filiberto of Savoy (47) and his pasta food truck, appropriately named after his own aristocratic title, “The Prince of Venice.”
“You can be a policeman, a prince, a banker or whatever, but we’re all the same when we eat a bowl of pasta,” says the prince on camera, as he tells viewers just how down-to-earth his three-year-old food truck can be. Wearing a grey hoodie like a Californian Surfer, the prince of pasta gives a tour of the truck’s kitchen.
