After a year and half absence, the famous bread and other baked goods at Solunto's Bakery are available again, plus so much more. The iconic bakery, founded in Little Italy in the 1960s, reopened yesterday after a complete remodel and now features an enhanced bakery section and expanded food and drink offerings.
Owner Antonino Mastellone, a local restaurateur who runs Sorrento Ristorante across India Street and has a guiding hand in many of the city's Italian eateries, has brought Solunto's into modern day Italy, with a fresh and contemporary design that includes a new pizza oven and full cocktail bar.
