Casa Barilla wants a do-over. The restaurant opened in South Coast Plaza in November 2017 but its owners weren’t entirely happy with the way it represented the brand. So it closed for the month of February, made menu and decor changes, retrained staff and relaunched.
It’s not a food court restaurant and it’s not a fine dining room. It’s operated by one of the leading pasta manufacturers in the world. If you have a dark blue box of dried pasta in your pantry, it’s likely Barilla. Market watcher websites such as grocerydive.com and foodbusinessnews.netcontinue to report that Barilla is one of the best selling pastas in the U.S. and continues to take the lead in product research and development.
