
During the third week of Italian cuisine, the Italian Embassy in DC, in cooperation with the Italian Institute of Culture, organized a seminar on Mediterranean Diet with acclaimed chef and author, Amy Riolo.
In the course of the seminar, Matteo Galli a college student from the University of Maryland was awarded a prize for his essay describing with originality and passion which aspects of the Italian cuisine and lifestyle enabled Italy to be the “healthiest country in Europe” in 2017 and which of these aspects American people would incorporate more easily into their own lifestyle.
