Gino Iovino is the owner of Girasole Ristorante & Lounge in Atlantic City. And his family-run business is about to reopen amid the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. Translated from Italian, Girasole means sunflower, which serves as the main theme of its indoor/outdoor design along with its iconic Versace furnishings and Mediterranean décor.
The family-run business has been at its location one-block off of the world-famous Boardwalk for 29 years. Through the decades, the Iovino family has certainly seen a lot but with the global health crisis this year, things are very different. “There’s been some ups and downs. We hope this was the last down,” Iovino said.
