From family farm of old to winery of today, the land has always provided

Anthony Vietri has very fond memories from second grade at St. Anthony of Padua School in Wilmington that began with the aroma of DiFonzo’s bread. “The smell would start coming into our classroom in the morning, and you just heard everybody’s belly in the entire room just cranking because we were all trained like Pavlov’s dogs to want DiFonzo’s rolls so badly. [After school], I remember grabbing some rolls and running over to my grandparents’.

As soon as I walked in the door, I broke one in half, went right over to the pan that was cooking with red sauce, put down a bowl, filled it, went on my way, kissing my grandmother, and sat on the steps right outside the kitchen and put that in me as fast as I could.”
