Given lemons, some folks make lemonade. When longtime friends John Caiola and Miguel Paletta watched the recession in the late 2000s eat away at their successful businesses, they didn't immediately think to make Meyer lemon gelato.

First, they worked hard, eventually together, to keep earlier ventures afloat. That was not to be, but it's no matter of "Que sera sera ..." This new beginning is born of vision, hard work and a belief in second and even third chances.
