In the town of West Chester, there are hundreds of businesses to visit. By the time someone graduates from West Chester University, there’s a good chance they haven’t even seen half of the stores in this historical downtown area. One business to highlight is the Artisanal Gelato and Dessert Café, Gemelli. Sitting down with owner Vincenzo, we got an inside look at the authentic Italian gelato, and the history behind it.
Originally from Ferrara, a city in northern Italy, Vincenzo moved to Pennsylvania in 2009. He came here, following a girl he met in Milano who was studying abroad at the time. A year later, he followed her over to the United States and is now her husband. Fast forward a couple of years, and they opened Gemelli together in 2014. Since then, their business has prospered and grown tremendously.
