Italian festivals are a long-held tradition in the Garden State. The celebrations, often fundraisers for the local church or other organizations, usually include rides, games of skill, entertainment and tons of freshly made food.
While well-known Italian-American foods like spaghetti and meatballs and eggplant parm heroes are popular, more traditional Italian foods, as well as lots of deep-fried treats, are found in abundance, too. Here is a guide to some of the fantastic foods you’ll find at New Jersey’s Italian festivals.
