A new Italian restaurant, Pazzo, will replace StonePepper's Grill at 1614 Washington Road in Upper St. Clair. "We're doing a lot of renovations which should be completed by the 27th (of July) and then we'll begin training staff," said Kurt Salmon, Pazzo's general manager. The restaurant is to open Aug. 3.
The name Pazzo translates from the Italian as crazy but the upcoming eatery's pedigree is solid. It's owned by Ed Dunlap, the commercial roofing magnate and serial restaurateur, and his wife Ann, Salmon said. Pazzo will employ about 20 and its casual fare will include pizza, pasta and veal and chicken.
