Love Italian food? Listen up: A new Italian restaurant is slated for Mosaic District, the stylish neighborhood near Vienna in Merrifield, according to a report Tuesday by Washington Business Journal.
The newspaper reports that Boston chef Michael Schlow has set his sites on Mosaic after Alta Strada, owned by Schlow, filed paperwork for a liquor license at Mosaic. Schlow has two Alta Strada restaurants; here's a peek at the menu. Schlow has an impressive bio, including a James Beard Award of Excellence - "Best Chef in the Northeast."
