A long-awaited Liscio’s Italian Bakery & Deli location opens April 1 inside an extensively remodeled supermarket here off North Delsea Drive, the company has announced. The project, which Glassboro officials approved in July 2023, reserves most of the 21,240-square-foot building for baking and storage. Bakery products are to be sold on-site and shipped to other stores as well.
A grand opening and ribbon-cutting celebration is planned for April 26. It marks the third retail site for the company. The new location was a Save A Lot supermarket that was vacant for years until this project. Its neighbor to the south is a Matt Blatt dealership, which underwent an expansion in recent years after demolition of the Glassboro Bowl & Recreation Center.
