Now open in Morristown: Masseria Italian Steakhouse, the latest venture from Joe Cetrulo and Trinity Hospitality Group, which includes Sirena in Long Branch and Stella Marina in Asbury Park. Cetrulo is a Morris Township resident who owned (and was the chef at) La Campagna in Morristown from 1995 to 2012. He'd been looking to start a restaurant closer to home since the closure of that spot.
"Since I sold the one I had in Morristown, I've been looking to open another restaurant in Morristown all these years," Cetrulo says. "It took me a long time to find a liquor license that was available and find a space to put it in." Cetrulo says he wanted to marry his 40 years of Italian cooking experience with an upscale steakhouse to, in part, appeal to those looking for more fine dining options in Morristown.
