Michael Schlow didn't want to introduce Casolare this way: just months after the Boston-based chef and restaurateur launched Alta Strada, his casual trattoria in City Vista. But he didn't have much choice. The former Savoy Suites Hotel, where his new coastal Italian concept will be housed, has encountered numerous construction delays.
So Casolare, which was supposed to open last August, is now expected to debut this July in the brand spanking new Glover Park Hotel, owned by the same group that manages the Carlyle, home of Schlow's retro-cool Riggsby. (The Glover Park Hotel, by the way, will officially launch on June 15).
