If you're hungering for innovative Italian food, a recent opening is need-to-know. The fresh addition to Columbia Heights, called Napoli Pasta Bar, is located at 2737 Sherman Ave. NW. (between N. Fairmont Street & N. Girard Street). The restaurant specializes in modern styles based on Neapolitan cuisine, Eater Washington DC reports, and comes courtesy of first-time owner Antonio Ferraro, an alum of Cafe Milano and Lupo Verde.
On the menu, look for an assortment of antipasti and pasta dishes such as beef carpaccio with marinated zucchini and shaved parmigiano cheese; linguine pasta with clams, cherry tomatoes and parsley; and ricotta gnocchi with tomato sauce, mozzarella and basil.
