On Columbus Day, Caldwell saw the opening of a new eatery in its borders: Fresco Market and Catering. Located at 115 Bloomfield Avenue - the former home of Luce restaurant - Fresco features a completely renovated interior and exterior designed by Comito Associates, and will feature weekly specials prepared by Chef Saverio Lavorato, formerly of Casa Filipo.
According to a release, the Italian market and eatery will feature authentic chef-prepared foods, gourmet sandwiches, organic salads and a deli selection as well as catering services and a café for onsite dining. "We're thrilled to open our doors in Caldwell where guests can find unrivaled Italian foods that bring our vision of 'eat well, live well' to life," owner John MacEvoy said.
