Tim Salouron, co-owner of the new Annamaria's Deli in East Rutherford, proudly says that in his traditional Italian salumeria there's "no mayo, no mustard, no turkey and no American cheese."
Instead, there are strictly "Italian products" — including salami, imported provolone, Italian fontina, Italian dry-salami soppressata and creamy Bel Paese cheese. The latter can be spread on your sandwich instead of mayo or mustard.
