When you walk into Passalinqua's new location at 3515 McClelland Ave., you're as likely to find the owners bickering as making Italian food. And sometimes they'll be doing both. "We chose Matt (Passalinqua)'s name for the restaurant because it sounded more Italian," said T.j. Abraham, who laughed about his own Lebanese heritage. "We didn't know if people would want pizza made by a guy named Abraham."
Passalinqua, 46, who was making pizzas while Abraham, 47, was being interviewed, occasionally shouted across the small cafe that Abraham was "stealing his thunder." "We don't just make pizza," Abraham said, after throwing an off-color joke his way. "We also make meatballs, lots of sauces, sandwiches and pasta dishes."
