An Italian deli known for its mouthwatering, hand-crafted sandwiches is continuing to expand its footprint in the Lehigh Valley. Ciao Sandwich Shoppe, which opened its original location in October 2020 at 12 N. Third St. in downtown Easton, on Wednesday announced a third location set to open next month inside the Downtown Allentown Market, at 27 N. Seventh St. on the ArtsWalk. The space was recently vacated by Reading Coffee Company.
The news comes just a few weeks after Ciao announced that it was planning to open a second location this summer at 325 Cattell St. in Easton’s College Hill neighborhood. According to co-owner Isaac Csezmadia, Ciao’s downtown Allentown location is tentatively set to open July 11 and the College Hill spot is expected to open Aug. 1.
