The Italian Place, billed as a gourmet Italian market, is expected to open soon in Old Town Alexandria.
Located at 621 Wythe St. (see map below), in Alexandria, the market is expected to carry gourmet items and sandwiches as well as sell beer and wine, according to posts to the market's Facebook page and applications made by the company to the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.
The company mentions on its Facebook page that the market is set to open in August. The location at 621 Wythe St., will feature a gourmet grocery market on the first floor and the second floor will remain residential, according to The Italian Place LLC's building permit application.
