When it comes to Italy's famed extra-virgin olive oils,terroir plays a critical role just as in wine. The authentic, top-quality oil comes exclusively from handpicked, freshly cold-pressed olives grown naturally only in Italy. Carlo Dozzi, a Pittsburgh-based importer and owner of Buon Sapore at One Oxford Centre, Downtown, works assiduously spreading the gospel of extra-virgin olive oil's startlingly complex aromas and flavors.

Collaborating exclusively with artisan producer Eugenio Ranchino based in Orvieto, Italy, Dozzi flies in the freshest possible olive oil to the United States. For a decade, loyal customers have snapped up the bottles to give as gifts and enjoy at home.
