
When it comes to the perfect Spring and Summer treat, we New Jerseyans take our Italian ices very seriously. As time has gone on and New Jersey has evolved, the one thing that hasn’t changed is people’s love for Italian ice.
Although there will always be controversy surrounding the name, some calling it “Italian ices,” some swearing that it’s just plain “ices,” and others maintaining it can only be called “water ice,” it’s an important part of New Jersey culture. You can’t go just anywhere for this sweet treat, however. You must only get Italian ice from the classics. Here are Jersey's five best.
