To answer what is no doubt your first question, no, Bobby Arifi, owner of Bobby's Deerfield, is not an obsessive Al Pacino fan who created a theme restaurant devoted to what widely is considered to be the Oscar-winner's worst film (the 1977 film "Bobby Deerfield," about a race car driver). "I haven't even seen the movie," Arifi admits.
Arifi, with his brother Augie, who serves as chef and business partner, opened Bobby's Deerfield three-and-a-half years ago in the space formerly occupied by the Red Star Tavern in the Deerfield Village Center at the intersection of Deerfield and Waukegan Roads.
