The wait is finally over — Iozzo’s on Jefferson has opened its doors for the Franklin community. The new Italian restaurant is located at 351 E. Jefferson Street next to the railroad tracks and across from Hoosier Cupboard Ice Cream and Candy. The staff welcomed the community in for dinner Monday, after a soft open over the weekend.

The opening was highly anticipated, as many have enjoyed Iozzos’ food in their Indianapolis restaurant. Owner Katie Harris invites people into her family’s Italian tradition through the restaurant. Iozzo’s features a white tablecloth setting, a list of Italian wines, family photos and music from The Rat Pack, Harris said.
