Santino's Little Italy, an Italian restaurant serving pizzas from a wood-burning oven, plans to open in two weeks at Bay View's northern edge, 352 E. Stewart St. Santo Galati said he expects it will open to the public Jan. 19 or 20; the exact date is expected next week, as is the finalized menu. Galati described the prices as moderate, starting around $10 for pizzas.
Galati owns the restaurant with Greg Huber and Nick Anton; Anton previously owned the longtime Walker's Point restaurant La Perla with his wife, JoAnne. The Antons closed La Perla in July at 734 S. 5th St., now the home of Hamburger Mary's.
