On our first house-hunting trip to Janesville, my husband and I were tired, hungry and lost. We stumbled upon a narrow little restaurant on Randall Avenue, and the thought of a comforting Italian meal helped to perk us up.
We were rewarded with a great meal that day and for many years thereafter. We still frequent the Italian House, home of the famous Gondola, although now, with our larger family, we often order one of our favorites—the "family feast" takeout meal. Jennifer is no stranger to the Italian House, either, as three of her children have been employed there over the years. She knows a lot of the history of the restaurant and has her own favorite order, too.
