The populist wave coursing through American culture now flows from 32 wine taps at the aptly named Pop's for Italian in downtown Ferndale, where crispy Neapolitan pizzas and Italian-American chophouse classics are served to the masses in a cavernous beer hall-style wine bar and restaurant.

Located on West 9 Mile in the former Buffalo Wild Wings and Twisted Shamrock spaces, Pop's — and sister restaurant Daily Dinette, which shares a kitchen and the north side of the newly combined 10,000-square-foot space — is the latest from the Kramer Restaurant Group, of One-Eyed Betty's and Rosie O'Grady's fame.
