Good luck getting a reservation at this place on Valentine's Day. Trattoria Stella in Traverse City was recently named the most romantic restaurant in all of Michigan, by USA TODAY. The Italian hot spot is located inside the Village of Grand Traverse Commons, with a farm-to-table food philosophy. The Commons is also known as the former site of the old Traverse City Hospital, which we featured in our Haunted Michigan series last year.
Here's how the restaurant describes itself on their website: We offer many fine regional Italian, local and other worldly wines by the glass, carafe and bottle. There is something for everyone’s tastes, from the light and bubbly to the big and bold. With a knowledgeable service staff and three sommeliers in house, selecting the perfect wine becomes an effortless part of your evening.
