Food halls are popular all over the country (Eataly, anyone?) but the trend hasn't really made it's way to South Florida — until now. Today it was announced that the almost open Brickell City Centre will house a three-story, Italian dining space when it makes its grand debut.

The 500,000 square-foot shopping center currently being built out by Swire Properties Inc., Whitman Family Development and Simon Property Group, is located smack dab in the middle of the Brickell neighborhood. The food hall will be modeled after "old world Italian streets and town centers, or piazze" and feature plenty of dining options, along with a market on hand selling things like fresh produce, take-home-meals, imported cheeses and meats, along with other "culinary essentials" and gifts.
