Perhaps less surprising that Brian Solari decided to bring his Italian dessert café to Greenville is that the owner of Carmella’s Café and Dessert Bar found a location so fast. When Solari and his wife and partner, Tiffany Solari, opened the first Carmella’s in Charleston eight years ago, it took nearly two years to find the right space, Solari says.
But as soon as he saw the space at Camperdown Plaza, Solari knew he’d found a home. “I was like, oh my God, this can’t be real,” Solari said of that initial tour with Colliers senior broker Lance Byars. “We just fell in love with that space.”
