Spending much of his youth in West Virginia, Brian Grandstaff became quite infatuated with the taste of DiCarlo's Original Pizza. "There's nothing like it," the now Burlington, Kentucky, resident said. "It's crunchy and saucy – just really good pizza."
During a trip back to his West Virginia stomping grounds two years ago, Grandstaff acquainted his family with the unique taste. DiCarlo's secret is adding fresh provolone cheese and toppings to the sauced pizza crust after it's cooked. It was an instant hit, his wife, Melissa Grandstaff, said.
